Who we are

The ClickOS app
Clicks, scrolling and typing. With Input Monitoring turned on, macOS tells ClickOS when you click, scroll or press a key, so it can play the matching sound. ClickOS handles these events on your Mac, only at that moment. It never records, stores or sends what you type. To apply your app rules, it checks which app you’re using, also only on your Mac.
Microphone. To mute itself during calls and dictation, ClickOS asks macOS whether any app is using the microphone. It never listens to or records audio.
Settings and your sounds are saved on your Mac.
iCloud sync. If you use iCloud, ClickOS keeps your settings, own sounds and packs in sync through your private iCloud storage (Apple CloudKit). This data belongs to your Apple Account, and we have no access to it. Apple handles it under Apple’s privacy policy.
Purchases. ClickOS Pro is sold by Apple through the App Store. We don’t receive your payment details. The app only asks the App Store whether Pro was bought with your Apple Account.
Crash reports. If you chose to share analytics with app developers in macOS, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. You can change this in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
ClickOS contains no third-party code that collects data.
This website
This website is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and the time of the request, to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks. This is in our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare may process this data outside the EU, based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. The sounds in the demo are loaded from this website.
If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and delete them once they’re no longer needed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and get a copy of it. You can also complain to a data protection authority. Ours is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (HmbBfDI).
